*** I am unfamiliar with what "PUL" is?
BB - PUL, otherwise known as polyurethane laminated fabric, is a much more sophistcated than just a plastic backing on fabric. It was originaly used in the medical field, and it is still used for this purpose. It provides the waterproof barrier needed in the medical field that can survive multiple institutional washings. The laminate can also be autoclaved, which is a very high heat steam sterilization process, to make it safe for reuse even after it comes into contact with blood or other bodily fluids.
The polyurethane laminate can be customized by the manufacturer and comes in different thicknesses. For cloth diapers, 1 mil or 2 mil is generally preferred. This allows for a good stretch, complete waterproofing, and is still comfortable enough to wear next to the skin. There are other options for waterproof fabric, but PUL is so durable and reliably waterproof it has become a favorite for cloth diapers. It has been truly kid tested! (exerts from Celtic Cloth)
*** Do your pocket diapers also have a layer of pul?
BB - Yes, All our Diapers have a waterproof layer of PUL.
***If I get a pocket diaper does it NEED the insert or do they work w/o it as well?
BB- Yes, They would NEED an insert or two tucked in the pocket. The inserts soak up and pull the moisture away from baby's skin. Pocket diapers do not have a soaker sewn in.
***Do your diapers need a cover to keep my baby dry?
BB - No our Diapers do not need a cover. They all have a waterproof layer of PUL sewn in and it is very effective at keeping your baby dry!!
*** Hi...my baby is 3 months old already but Im thinking about switching to cloth diapers.. I was wondering what colors or designs you may have avaiable...
BB - We have many fabrics to choose from, Please go to the "Picture Place" and then view the outer fabric album. THANKS!
*** Do you allow returns??
BB - Since all my diapers are custom made .. so every case will be decided individually...
PLEASE remember when you are ordering the diapers you are ordering are being specially made for you!!
I prefer to offer a discounted exchange as long as the diaper is UNUSED and UNWASHED.
However Exchanges are not always possible so in those cases we will do our best to satisfy our customers..

*** Do your diapers have gussets?
BB - They have gathered gentle leg gussets (elastic),
But I can make them with additional sewn in gussets,
the kind of gussets you see with fold-over-elastic(FOE). - On special requests
***How hard are your diapers to wash?
BB - My diapers are VERY easy to wash.
If you follow my instuctions, cleaning is really simple!
I include care instuctions with every order.
If you use Crunchy Clean Detergent clean is even better!! Easier!!! SMELLS HEAVENLY!!
***I'm new to cloth diapering how many do I need?
BB -
For just Starting, I recommend :
Newborn to 4 months - 16 - 20 diapers
Infant (4 to 10 months) - 14- 16 diapers
Toddler (10 months to potty training) - 12 - 16 diapers
You will want this many (usually more) because you will be washing every other day, You need to build up a "stash" of at least 2 days worth..
Don't let those #'s scare you. You DON'T have to buy all at once,
I would recommend 3 here, 3 there. Try different styles even different brands.
I went through quite a bit of "sampling" with my own before I started making them..
***I love the name Blessed Bottoms, how did you come up with it?
For the name, I have 6 children 2 of which are still in cloth diapers, when we decided to start selling my diapers I prayed about a name and thought about how "blessed" I was to have my little ones and be able to make cloth diapers. (I have had 10 miscarriages and heart complications with every pregnancy).. SOOO ... Blessed Bottoms just fit! LOL Thanks for asking!!
